R. J. Corman Railroad Company is the proud owner of the Carolina Lines (RJCS), which stretches from Whiteville, NC to Myrtle Beach, SC. Working in partnership with local, state and federal leaders, R. J. Corman restored the 90 mile line and will soon begin freight operations to improve area commerce.
The company operates 10 other shortline railroads and is a subsidiary of R. J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC, which altogether employs more than 1,700 people in 23 states. Their other companies provide a myriad of railroad related services including industrial railcar switching, track construction, derailment and natural disaster emergency response, track material distribution, signal design and construction, railroad worker training, building eco-friendly locomotives, and a passenger dinner train.
